Version 1
Attempt to capture chords from the new song Passenger posted in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He fingerpicks the entire song with lots of his usual hammer-ons. The notes in parentheses are individual
walking notes up the high E string (listed relative to the capo in the same way as the chords).
The G/F# in the chorus is a walk down from the G to the Em. The Intro tab can be played for the Intro and
the instrumental section after the first chorus.

Capo 5 to play along with the original video he posted 05 April 2020:
--/wlxMSC9wVwc

Note that he changed a couple of the lyrics from this original version to the version he released on his
Patchwork album. In verse 4 he changed "sunset" to "sunrise" and in the final chorus he changed "And there’s
nothing much to hold onto for now" to "And there’s nothing you can hold onto for now" to match the first
chorus.

[Verse 1]
G C G C/G G
Well, I know there’s pain and suffering
C Dadd4 G C/G G
You can feel the tension in the air
C Dadd4 Em
But they can see the stars shine in Beijing
A7 D7
And hear the birds’ song in Times Square

[Verse 2]
G C G C/G G
But I know you’re feeling insecure
C Dadd4 G C/G G
From all this change that's come to pass
C Dadd4 Em
But the sky is blue in Singapore
Am7 D7
And they can smell the ocean in Belfast

[Chorus]
C D7
  Now don’t get me wrong
     G G/F# Em
This ain’t no happy song

Just know the water’s crystal clear
Am7 D7 G C/G G
And the fish are swimming in the Venice canals

And I know there’s really nothing I can say

Tell your loved ones that you loνe them
Am7 D7
